Dahong village is an ancient legend. Let's see how the ancient gods fought for high and low!

According to legend, the Yellow Emperor had four powerful Generals: Fenghou, Limu, Changxian and Dahong. After the wind as the prime minister, Li Mu as the general, often the first drum, Dahong training, they assisted the Yellow Emperor in the victory over Chiyou, governance of the world have made great achievements. According to legend, Dahong built a stronghold to train his troops in Juci mountain, and built a stronghold in Jishan mountain to pacify the people, so there were two "Dahong strongholds" in later generations. In order to distinguish the two, the Dahong village on the mountain is called "beidahong village", while the Dahong village on the mountain is not named "nandahong village". Dahongzhai is more famous than Jishan. Later, people simply called Jishan Dahongzhai mountain, referred to as Dahongzhai. In other words, it must be good to say that Dahong village is a village; It can be recognized that Dahong village is a mountain.

Today's Dahongzhai site has only a few broken walls. However, the scenery is very beautiful when you climb the main peak of Dahongzhai mountain. Standing on the top of the main peak, you can see Yuzhou in the East, Ruzhou in the West and Dengfeng in the north. Later generations set up a boundary tablet here, which is called "one foot three boundaries". This place becomes a good place for tourists to take photos. Walking along the ridge, you can see a group of naturally formed stone statues. Three of them sit side by side. Facing Dahong village, they seem to be discussing the construction of the village. Another one is sitting alone. Dahong is listening to their opinions. Maybe they made up their mind to build this Dahong village.

Besides the story of Dahong, there are many legends about Dahong village. However, it seems that they are not all legends.

For example, the ginkgo tree next to Longquan Temple is several feet high, thick and surrounded, with luxuriant branches and leaves, and shade blocking the sun. It is very magnificent, but people say it is a "mother tree". So where is the "public tree"? In front of Lingquan temple at the southern foot of Fengchi mountain, Shenlong Town, dozens of miles away. The crane lives on the tree, which is the incarnation of fairy boy; On the mother tree lived the God of ginkgo, the incarnation of fairies. Maybe the immortals can't bear loneliness, so they take the wind as the medium and get married. It's amazing to say that the tree in Lingquan Temple never bears fruit. The mountain wind blows and the leaves clatter, as if waving countless little hands to show kindness to his wife. The mother tree in Longquan Temple bears many fruits every autumn. The old man said that there used to be white cranes flying around between the two trees. Later, when the mountain was opened for shooting, the white cranes were too scared to come again, so that the couple could only look at each other affectionately. There seems to be a more scientific folk saying that when the mother tree bears fruit, it needs pollination, and the pollen is brought by the wind from the male tree. The two trees are so far apart, with mountains and water between them. I don't know if the pollen of the male tree is so strong and accurate.

Nowadays, it is more popular to say that there are immortals living in Baiguoshu. People who have been there will see that ginkgo trees are covered with red ribbons, which are the masterpieces of good men and women who make and return their wishes. In this way, we all know that ginkgo leaf tea can prevent arteriosclerosis, ginkgo fruit can relieve asthma and cough. The medicinal power of this thousand year old ginkgo tree is absolutely great. If we don't make a myth about it, can it live to this day?

Ginkgo trees and Longquan Temple have nothing to do with each other, but there is a local saying that "trees grow in pools, and temples grow in trees".

Longquan Temple was built by Zhu Shixing, an eminent monk in the Han and Wei dynasties. Zhu Shixing, a native of Yuzhou, is said to be the prototype of Zhu Bajie. In A.D. 250, the Indian law school Samantha tagara went to Luoyang to translate scriptures and set up an altar in Baima temple. Zhu Shixing was the first person to enter the altar to receive precepts and became "the first person to receive precepts in the Han Dynasty". Later, he went west to obtain the Sanskrit version of DAPIN Sutra and became "the first person to learn scriptures in the West.". Zhu Shixing often traveled between Baima temple in Luoyang and his hometown to promote Buddhism. He saw that the mountain of Dahong village was very similar to a reclining Buddha. There was a dragon spring pool in front of the Buddha, and there was a ginkgo tree beside the pool. He felt that this place should be a Buddhist treasure, so he built a temple with his back against Dahong village and facing the dragon spring pool, called Longquan Temple. Since then, gingko tree, Longquan pool and Longquan Temple have gained their "fame and provenance".

As for the origin of the Sleeping Buddha, I'm afraid it will be further.

After thousands of years, Dahong village was a peaceful place for the people to live and enjoy their lives. When a demon came, he sent floods, hailstones, destroyed the countryside, killed the living creatures, and stirred Dahong village into a smoky and desolate place. The people have no choice but to ask for Buddha, who will drop the law and let the Bodhisattva remove the evil.

Puxian came to Dahong village, the devil is not an opponent at all. He fled in a hurry. Puxian kept following him. It happened that the emperor passed by in the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, waved his hand and threw a dust, and then he joked with Puxian: "the Bodhisattva has no magic power. How can not even the small demons be captured?" Pu Xian face hang up, return to say: "this beheading demon except demon, who let you more idle?" A Bodhisattva and a real person, fought a war of saliva, and no one was satisfied with anyone. Finally, the emperor said, "the star picking tower is very high and the rough garbage stacks are also high. The Dahong village is low. Tonight, we will play magic power at one end of the mountain. The Tianming period will be long to see who makes the mountain grow higher." "I lie still higher than you sit," said Puxian, disdaining

So, in the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, Tianzun sat at the west end of Dahongzhai, and Puxian Bodhisattva lay at the east end of Dahongzhai, exerting his magic power, and the mountain slowly rose. In the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, Tianzun suddenly regretted: "how can people who practice Taoism fight willfully? What's the difference between being so competitive and ordinary people? " So he accepted the magic and said to the Puxian Bodhisattva, "what's the matter with winning and losing? I know my mistake. I'll leave the image here to subdue evil spirits." Then he drove away. Puxian Bodhisattva also felt regret and left his image as a rock on the top of the mountain, driving the clouds to the West.

Therefore, the Dahongzhai mountain now looks like a giant Buddha lying on his back with his head to the South and his feet to the north. At the top of the Buddha's abdomen, a person's face is displayed. Needless to say, it is the image left by the emperor Yuanshi. It's very interesting to visit Dahongzhai mountain and stand on the Buddha observation platform to see the reclining Buddha, pointing out the Buddha's head, face, belly and feet.
