The origin of Longquan Temple
In the hinterland of Dahong village, at the gathering place of Jiulong, there is a magnificent and magnificent ancient temple building with red walls and red doors, covered with golden glazed tiles, a dragon head and beast on the roof, stone lions on both sides of the gate, a golden border and black forehead hanging above the gate, and three gold-plated characters of "Longquan Temple" are shining.
The ancient temple was built by Zhu Shixing, who traveled between Luoyang and his hometown Yuzhou all year round, and built by the Buddha light and the divine indication. The first name was Lingguang temple, and then lishimin was named "Great Mercy Temple of Yongning, lying in Foshan to protect the country", and then Zhuqi Town, the Ming imperial clan, came to this town to reduce fragrance, and the spring water beside the drinking temple was named "Longquan Temple".
The Dragon Spring Temple, which is 35 kilometers north of Dengfeng Songshan, was built more than 400 years ago. It is a true Zen ancestral court. Because the fame of Dharma is higher than zhushixing (Eight Precepts prototype), Longquan Temple has been in the "lower courtyard of the Zen ancestral court". It is just as sorry that we don't come to Longquan Temple in Shaolin Temple, just as I don't go to Beijing to the Great Wall.
Zhu Shixing, China's first monk
Dahong village in Yuzhou is a holy place for Zhu Shixing (the name of Bajie) to devote himself to Buddhism after he was ordained. Zhu Shixing is the prototype of the second elder martial brother Zhu Bajie in journey to the West. His journey to the West started from Dahong village. The magnificent Longquan Temple in Dahongzhai and the Chinese tree King beside the temple are the witness of history.
In the history of Buddhism in China, Zhu Bajie is a real person, which is exactly "Zhu Bajie". He is not only different from the second elder martial brother in journey to the west, but also more devout than Tang Xuanzang. It is recorded in volume 4 of biography of eminent monks that during the Han Dynasty, the government did not allow Han people to become monks. Even if there are disciples who believe in Buddhism, they can only be regarded as believers. Until 250 A.D., Indian eminent monks went to Luoyang to preach, created the system of abstinence monks in the Han Dynasty, and set up the altar in Baima temple. Zhu Shixing was the first monk to become a professional Buddhist. After becoming a monk, Zhu Shixing became the first eminent monk in China.
After becoming a monk, Zhu Shixing studied Buddhist scriptures in Dahong village. He found that Buddhism was extensive and profound, but the Scriptures introduced into China were not complete, so he decided to go to India to seek the Scriptures himself. By this time, Zhu Bajie was 57 years old.
In 260 A.D., Bajie master, who was close to Huajia, resolutely set foot on the road of going westward from Dahongzhai, becoming the first monk to go westward in Chinese history.
In 282 A.D., Zhu Bajie asked his disciples to send the copied scriptures back to Luoyang. At the age of 80, he died in a foreign country, Khotan.
